Booking.com Champions the Unsung Hereos that Create Unforgettable Guest Experiences

Distribution, International · · Commenter

For every smiling guest, there is a dedicated professional behind the scenes making sure their stay is unforgettable. It happens millions of times a day and in every corner of the globe — a front desk manager helps arrange a last-minute proposal on the beach or an apartment owner drives a family to the airport after their taxi doesn’t show up so that they don’t miss their flight. These extraordinary hospitality gestures have a ripple effect across our industry and are the cornerstone of what makes travel meaningful and unique. To celebrate the exceptional personal contributions these individuals make on a daily basis, Booking.com is launching the Booking Heroes competition with a chance for one hospitality professional to win $37,500 to spend on Booking.com.

To nominate their Hero and enter them in the competition, Booking.com customers from all around the world are being encouraged to share their stories on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the #BookingHero hashtag. Booking.com will choose the three most exceptional stories of accommodation partners going above and beyond the call of duty to create unique and outstanding experiences for travellers. One lucky Hero and the customer who nominated them will each win $37,500 to spend on Booking.com, with the two runners-up and their nominating customers each winning $7,500 in Booking.com travel credit.

“In the run-up to our annual Guest Review Awards, which recognize properties for the outstanding guest experiences they provide, we also want to honour the actual individual people behind the scenes who make the magic happen day in and day out: the unsung hospitality heroes,” said Peter Verhoeven, Global Director of Partner Services at Booking.com. “It’s our partners that deliver these extraordinary travel experiences each and every day. This is our way to say thank you to them and to share their inspiring stories with the world.”

Booking.com is accepting nominations for the #BookingHero competition on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter until November 30, 2017, with winners being announced in January 2018.
